Early Life in the colony....

We are now moving into the part of our unit which looks at early life in the settlement.

Imagine you are Governor Phillip....

What would be your priorities for the settlement?

I think you would need a brick maker to build you houses, a farmer to plant crops and food, a caulker to seal up holes in the boat to stop it from sinking and I would also need a weaver to make the convicts clothes.

If I was Governor Phillip my priorities would be to make sure that all the convicts don’t get away and make sure that they all have the same among of food for all the convicts.

Farmer because they can grow things to eat.

Carpenter because so they can help people build their houses.

Chimney sweep so he can clean peoples chimneys.

Charwomen to clean people’s houses.

That’s what I think we will need
